Campers

The age range varies at camp- depending on the bulk of the campers for any given summer. I don’t like the spread to get too wide or it makes group activities too hard to make age-appropriate. Generally age 7 to 14 (six is too young for such a long day and so many challenging activities, and 15 year olds want to make money,) THIS summer we are trying a tighter age range (age 9 to 14) to see if that works a little better.

At this point we have 8 boys and 5 girls signed up for various weeks- still more room available.

Since its beginning, Camp Outlaw has included children with disabilities, and it has been a lively and great group in part because of our inclusive approach. Campers take turns picking partners each trip, and new friendships happen because of that. We try to make sure that everyone is taken care of, whatever their needs are, and that everyone gets to try high ropes, even if it seems impossible from a wheelchair. I promise you, it’s not.
